Carpenters:

Carpenters: must have 2+ consecutive years carpentry experience specific to home building and remodeling. Pay DOE 

Lead Carpenter: must have 5+ consecutive years leadership/
foreman experience in the construction industry, specific to home building and remodeling. Pay up to $30/Hour DOE.

Both Positions are Full Time with company paid single health plan (Sanford), Aflac, 401K, vacation, holiday, personal paid days off. Must have great communication, great work ethic, attention to detail, a valid driver's license, and no felonies.

Construction Project Supervisor

​

Sparling Construction has been experiencing tremendous growth, and we are now accepting applications for a Project Supervisor to help all of our projects run more smoothly and efficiently. We are an established General Contractor who primarily works on Residential Remodeling and some Commercial Remodeling. You will also be performing your job duties for our GoUniversal division, which focuses on home modifications and mobility equipment for Aging-in-Place and Accessibility.

Construction Supervisor Job Responsibilities

  • Assist the Operational Project Manager with a wide variety of quality control tasks that will be delegated to you.

  • Visit our various job sites to ensure things are going smoothly for our carpentry teams, and then effectively communicate the project’s status to our Project Manager.

  • You will be the designated Purchaser of supplies and products for our projects, which will require you to confirm various dimensions and specifications to ensure that the products we order will fit seamlessly during the installation process (Doors, Windows, Cabinetry, Tub/Shower Inserts, etc.).

  • Communicate effectively with our subcontractors when needed.

  • Maintains a safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following guidelines, standards, and procedures.

  • Take Progress photos and After photos of our projects and upload them to our company’s file storage system.

  • Perform Final Punch Lists that will close out projects.

Work Hours and Benefits

This position is Full Time, year-round work. Approximately 40 Hours/Week. Competitive Salary DOE.

Construction Supervisor Qualifications and Skills

  • Proficiency or comfortability with computers, Construction Management Software, and Outlook.

  • Ability to read construction blueprints and plans

  • Proficiency in understanding proposals and projects

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail

  • Ability to supervise multiple projects with urgent deadlines

  • Great time management and problem-solving skills

  • Strong understanding of proper construction methods

Education and Experience Requirements

  • Minimum of a High school diploma or equivalent

  • Preferred Minimum of 5 years experience working in the construction field, preferably as a Lead Carpenter/Foreman, Project Supervisor, or Project Manager

  • Valid Driver’s License

  • Must be able to pass a drug test

​

Position Expectations

  • Must be liable to work 40 hours per week

  • Must be detailed and organized

  • Need to possess strong communication and leadership skills

  • Understand and perform at a high level of customer service
